Finally finished painting the next set piece battle map for my Sunday #dnd campaign. Restricted myself to only using the cheap paints from the hobby store for the terrain to save some cash. Still used a tiny bit of contrast paint as a wash on the ruins. The terrain is from the Majestic Highlands set from Dungeon Blocks. The steampunk walker is from an artist named McReal. And the minis are all from Hero Forge. Can’t wait to get these in front of the players! #3dprinting #miniaturepainting

I recently completed the final fight in the most recent #dnd campaign I’ve been running. I surprised my players with some 3d printed terrain. It went pretty well and I am very happy with how it all came out. I had a camera trained on the board, and also a top down picture that I used for the map in roll20, @slyflourish style. A bit of work to keep the roll20 board and the actual board in sync, but it ended up working really well. All in all, really happy with the whole thing!

The final, final boss for my #dnd campaign. Easily the most difficult thing I’ve printed on my #fdm #3DPrinter. Had a number of failed prints where tentacles would fail to print properly or bits would snap off. Still had to make a couple of repairs. But found some slicer settings that worked pretty well. Some of the layer lines are pretty visible in the paint job, but eh, whatcha gonna do. Learning.

Picked up a 3d printer during Black Friday. Been 3D printing some OpenForge terrain by Devon Jones, and tried my hand at painting a piece tonight as a test.

Do I know what I’m doing? Nope.

Am I having fun? Yes!

Runing the Lost City adventure from Quests from the Infinite Staircase, and one of my players is playing a Telekinetic from the #MCDM Talent and Psionics book. The book does such a great job at capturing the exact flavor I’m looking for from a #dnd psionics supplement.
