Between #mosstodon, #FungiFriday & the Ologies podcast I'm excited about #moss & #mushrooms. My partner gave me a loupe and a pocket microscope for Christmas!

I've had fun roaming with the hand lens - it works best with waterproof trousers, cos you have to get really close to the thing, and the ground is wet. I've also been looking at prepared microscope slides.

This is my painting of a cross-section of a pine needle. It's so tiny! You can see the cells!
