Research note: Community consultation is unrepresentative and biased – YIMBY Melbourne

Community consultation models used by local governments tend to favour the time-rich (property owners and older residents) over the time-poor (renters and younger residents).

None of this councillor bloc comprehend anything beyond than a few choice words/cliche phrases. Collingwood residents apparently don't want new parks, Richmond residents can't have new parks, eg, Charlotte Street and absolutely nothing is happening in Cremorne. Populist fluff means there is no equity.
tl:dr So you're not a member of Yarra's property owning classes with spare time to attend these meetings? nah here's a bunch of pleasant yet ultimately empty words and nothing tbh
Currently listening to a whole pile of double speak about necessary it is to create open space in our inner suburbs but we can't have any of that because possible criminals, parking as a religious right, strong feelings from over 60s & something else vague. https://www.youtube.com/live/PtnTi8MKeXg?si=tdu4wFshNqOJSHn_
