@dansup Thank you for your hard work 🫡

Some feedback:
- NeoDB should be categorized as specialized content
- It would be interesting if there's a way to directly see alternative of non-federated social media, similar to Alternativeto.net website. It doesn't need to be complex, but a mere listing.
It can also be expanded to other SNS like IMDB, Letterboxd, MyAnimeList, Weibo, QQ, Kaskus, Mixi, etc.

@dansup Just wondering, why all post from Misskey.design are hidden from public post on Pixelfed.art?

This instance is generally known as highly regulated general illustration community.

🆕 blog! “Rebuilding FourSquare for ActivityPub using OpenStreetMap”

I used to like the original FourSquare. The "mayor" stuff was a bit silly, and my friends never left that many reviews, but I loved being able to signal to my friends "I am at this cool museum" or "We're at this pub if you want to meet" or "Spendi…

Rebuilding FourSquare for ActivityPub using OpenStreetMap

I used to like the original FourSquare. The "mayor" stuff was a bit silly, and my friends never left that many reviews, but I loved being able to signal to my friends "I am at this cool museum" or "We're at this pub if you want to meet" or "Spending the day at the park". Video Games Now: You are a broken man, haunted by the choices you've made. You do not fear the sweet embrace of death, but you still have unfinished business.

A #forum that takes on #Discord would have to:
* Have some kind of real-time interface. The chat-like style Spectrum.chat used was great for this (apart from
Spectrum (source linked) being slow as hell).
* Provide plenty of single sign-on. IndieAuth on by default could be a big help.
* Have a cheap/free (at least sponsor open-source projects to be free), dead-simple way to host your own

Other nice-to-haves:
* Fediverse support of some kind.
* Integration with Discord (hell, using Discord's forums, and bi-directional! It's possible with Discord's API, last I checked).

Flathub now has over one million active users

Ah, Linux, you gotta love it right? There's numerous different ways to do the same thing. One of those that people like to argue about it packaging and how to install things on Linux. Flathub with Flatpaks at least seem to be popular and it keeps growing.

I honestly hope to see Steam on iOS, with cross-buy, cross-save, and cross-compatibility. We could theoretically see something like Steam's Proton layer add automatic game compatibility with the platform.

Or something like Setapp, with subscription access to bundles of apps.

Alternate app stores aren't simply a bad thing.
