@dragonfrog @dgar found this sign in Wellington last time I was there.

Bluesky are openly welcoming, verifying and hosting accounts of prominent far right politicians. Trump's VP Vance is now on Bluesky:

https://bsky.app/profile/jd-vance-1.bsky.social

"We welcome the Vice President to the conversation on Bluesky" (Bluesky in their email to Fox News)

More 🚩: Bluesky is centralised, run by a for-profit corporation, its CEO has blockchain background, it is partly owned by VCs & Blockchain Capital.

Bluesky are going down exactly the same Nazi Bar path as Twitter.

Nothing quite like eight ornery Aussies in the audience chorusing “that’s a comment what’s the question mate” under their breaths at a talk. It’s giving me life 🤩😅🤣✨

@catsalad Burger King is a good place to get some GRUB.
@catsalad I could have sworn for a second that this pic came from my camera roll, but I took my photo of that BK at night

Looks like there's a bit of a meta about binding arbitration waiver in mastodon.social ToS
https://mamot.fr/@pluralistic/114706885462760813

I do hope m.s admins fix that. But if they don't – this is #fedi, there are thousands of great instances, and this is a good moment to exercise the option of moving one's account

Eons ago I had also started off on m.s. I have moved this account several times since then. No regrets. Pretty painless.

ETA: GOOD NEWS! https://mastodon.social/@Mastodon/114709820512537821 In reading an important discussion of the IP assignment in the new Mastodon.social ToS: https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/35086 I was GOBSMACKED to discover the new ToS has a "binding arbitration waiver," which takes away your right to sue, no matter how badly the service abuses you. These are profoundly unethical, terrible clauses. They should never, ever appear in "adhesion contracts" (that is, contracts that you merely click through, rather than negotiating.)

Going "fungal". Like going viral, but more organic because you're on the Fediverse and no artificial algorithm helped.
Yeah I'll have the uh.. EFI Shell with a diet coke
