I literally gasped when i saw the cover in our mail, I cannot think of a better way to make Trump fume at Musk getting more attention than him. British journalists are diabolical, the "in-chief" added to "Disrupter" is brilliant in co-opting Trumps' "Commander-in-Chief" title. It's not a very flattering picture of Musk, either, snicker...
And i know the next four years are going to be a shitshow, but people don't realize just how tenuous the partnerships that Trump has made with various players are. Trump's pathological narcissism is the only thing that runs him, so the idea that he is going to play nicely with Musk, Vance, and all the others is a fantasy. Trump has a lock on his MAGat cult, but it will be interesting to see the infighting and internal cracks appear when he treats Musk (or whoever) poorly.
The Secret Service released a statement saying that they have designated the day Congress counts the electoral votes (Jan 6th, 2025) as a National Special Security Event. This means they are making sure Trump and his base don't try for a second attempt at interfering with the peaceful transfer of power. Good news for sure, but i'm sure his followers have plans for violence elsewhere if he loses. I don't see them accepting a loss peacefully.
I realize that older white women are a huge part of why we are fighting for our democracy against Trump and the GOP, but Mr. Vance? Fucking bring it dude, you haven't seen anything yet!

I'm Gen X so i don't even try to make memes, but i can appreciate them. This one is a chef's kiss - using Zoolander to make fun of Vance is perfect.

Could not agree with Mr. Wellman's post more, the way they treated Biden was despicable. With all that said however, I am so looking forward to helping Madame VP Harris make history as the first woman President of the US! And of course, the first Black and Asian woman, so important as well!

Wow, what a racist and moronic statement by Matty Yglesias. I am ashamed that I ever thought he had any intelligence and was worth reading. These “experts” in polling and election analysis are going to cost us our democracy if they have their way. I think Biden dropping out in response to this pressure is a bad idea electorally speaking (I follow actual data experts who say the same thing), but if he does, it has to be Kamala, without a doubt. Suggesting anyone else is pure racism at work.
