@megeri to put it in simple, what is thought to go on is that the casing of the virus (where the spike protein is) can trigger inflammatory responses on organs and tissues. That in turn can cause the immune system to instruct a cell to self destruct.

It's an Aerial Transmission virus. That is the medium it uses to infect. But COVID is a Multisystemic Virus. It can attack any organ or tissue on your body.
