Im very confused, why is everyone talking about #ffmpreg? And also its not ffmpreg? I thought the #ffmpeg spelling of the command was like toolbx instead of Toolbox.
While I'm airing my #Ham #Radio grievances, calling a woman an XYL makes you sound like a crapsack.
WHY THE FUCK DID YOU NEED AN AI SLOP CONTROL ROOM IMAGE, NASA PHOTOS OF THE ACTUAL MISSION CONTROL ROOM ARE PUBLIC DOMAIN!!!!
Why TF is allstarlink using AI art? It looks like shit, itd honestly look better without art at all.

My nine year old told me that she should get a cell phone at thirteen because Nana said I got one when I was 13... I was 13 in 1995 lol. My mom laughed her head off.

I was in my 20s and it was one of those oval things shaped like a river rock in nextel yellow.

Hey combined #trains and #retrocomputing nerds, someone is selling two PDAs with #NS logos on them on marktplaats. I've read it's possible to run Linux on these things.
The growth of AI "art" on youtube is gross, but its especially gross on #Radio youtube. Your freaking hams, you dont have any pictures of real radios?

The goal is to make corporate data less profitable.

Even stuff as simple as setting your birthdate to 1970-01-01 everywhere, adding [TEST] or [DELETED] as your name or account notes anywhere you don't need them to know your name.

Using plugins like AdNauseam to poison ad trackers (and cost them marketing dollars).

Using VPNs set to different locations.

Signing into data broker sites to "correct" outdated info (they'll often let you do that with little-to-no proof of identity, but will require your passport or state ID in order to delete your info). Bonus points if you correct it to someone else's info on their site that's similar to yours.

Only fill in required fields when you sign up for anything, but only provide correct info if it matters for you to use the service, otherwise provide plausible, but incorrect, data.

If you use LLMs anywhere, use the free tier and always vote thumbs up for bad answers and down for good ones. It wastes their resources and drives up their costs while making their training data worse.

The state of California can have my #debian #linux install when they pull my laptop from my cold dead hands!
