Back up and running!

@c3nav @HackyScientress @lasagne

I report success. The database was dumped and is now being restored to a new cluster.

Sorry for taking so long; an HA orchestrator running wild had been trolling me for two hours, and 3 hours of sleep didn't help me noticing ;).

But I hope teardown can still benefit from c3nav a bit!

@ruffleduffle @c3nav So, they have a geocache?

#badJokes

Our resident infrastructure person @HackyScientress is working on restoring service as fast as we can, no promises yet but we're doing our best. #39c3

Truly infinite thank you to @nik without whom we probably wouldn't even be remotely close to finding a solution and @lasagne for providing additional helping hands with implementing it right now. ๐Ÿ’œ

While @c3nav is still down, protip: infodeลกk has a cache of c3nav #39c3

Our Redis and static files are up btw and performing great.

Apologies for the lack of alt text, we have no idea how to usefully describe a complete foorplan.

FYI: The boundaries of this render are (35, 80) to (338, 270). If you are hosting your own leaflet with our tiles, that should make it possible for you to insert this as a fallback. #39c3

While some people on our team are enjoying the opportunity of learning a lot more things about postgresql, in the meantime here's a rendered version of the map of the event as of the evening of December 24th:

#39c3

The downtime is caused by data corruption in our Postgres cluster that affects all nodes.

We are working on restoring service. We do not have a timeline yet how long this will take.
