@JammerJim @staidwinnow @atrupar I agree that polling is untrustworthy this far out, but a Trump v Biden rematch in 2024 could be an exception to the rule as both are already known quantities among the electorate. How many folk don't have an opinion on them? How many people are going to change their mind? I don't expect it's many.
@ernie This is mostly me being a grouchy old person, but the format of the video bugs me. The bland elevator music throughout it, the way he repeats himself, the slow speech, the erratic jumping around from side to side to artificially keep up engagement, and the disingenuous "comment your opinion about X!" as if he cares what any viewer has to say.

@ernie IMO he's gaming the algorithm.

(1) He tells folk to watch all of the video before they complain, and watch time is surely a huge factor in whether YT treats a video as worth showing others.

(2) He repeatedly asks the audience to comment on his video. User engagement is likely another factor boosting your position.

(3) The thumbnail. Don't worry viewer, you aren't getting older, it's the world that's changing!

@Teri_Kanefield Here we see one of the non-legal benefits of prosecuting the Big Lie, proponents of it are more wary of repeating factual claims they know are false. See also Fox News + Newsmax becoming more cagey when talking about the Big Lie after the defamation suits, and avoiding outright support for it.
@pbump At the risk of invoking the NYT Pitch Bot "we sent a reporter to interview three MAGA-hat wearing truckers at a redneck dive bar to get an idea of what average Americans think," I'm rather curious what's so different with those 5 blips so far below the line.
@Teri_Kanefield @fortboise My guess is that it's not so much a bot account, as it is a troll who made the first comment using a gibberish email address, then noticed their comment wasn't visible on the blog and thought they'd been auto-spam filtered, so tried to resubmit the same comment with a legitimate looking email address to bypass the spam detection.
@cstross It's pretty much already a thing among the wealthy tourists climbing Everest, who use the dead bodies of those who didn't make it as markers. See "Green Boots" man.
@anca @Teri_Kanefield Both the links seem to work for me, perhaps try refreshing?
@Mellifloss Whoa, bouncing both forwards and backwards as well to the sides? Looking very fancy~
