After a prolonged trek northwards from the US border, the snow is finally beginning to push west-northwest into #winnipeg. Could see periods of fairly heavy snow through the evening hours before it starts to taper off overnight.
Areas of yellow on the imagery are bands of heavier snow while the blues are light to moderate snow. #MBstorm
A little while ago I decided to head back to the first #boardgame I bought back in 2018 and spent an evening playing Fallout: The Board Game (with the New California and Atomic Bonds expansions).
In addition to being a bit of a warm blanket game (it kickstarted a hobby that was huge for my mental health through the beginning of the pandemic), the expansions brought it to a place where it's a solidly good and fun game that nails the #Fallout theme to a tee.
It never fails to surprise me how many people are like "I'm a software engineer, I work all day with embedded systems and C and compilers and R and high level analysis of big data and statistical reporting on metadata trends.... and also I do #woodworking using 18th century hand tools because fecking computers, y'know?"
Literally, walk into a room with ten engineers, and three of them can probably cut a decent dovetail if they don't dream of building an entire dresser from cherry and walnut.
