The Province of Manitoba has closed Highway 1 (the Trans-Canada) from Falcon Lake to the Ontario border as well as Highway 12 from the U.S. border north to Steinbach. Expect to see deteriorating travel conditions on area highways, particularly south and east of Winnipeg, through the evening. #MBstorm

After a prolonged trek northwards from the US border, the snow is finally beginning to push west-northwest into #winnipeg. Could see periods of fairly heavy snow through the evening hours before it starts to taper off overnight.

Areas of yellow on the imagery are bands of heavier snow while the blues are light to moderate snow. #MBstorm
