@JPZ there are good used deals on Backmarket and other online places from time to time. Picked up a M1 Pro 16" with 32GB of ram and 1TB storage a year or so ago for $750 USD
@daringfireball Honestly when you consider the M1 MacBook Air (with similar performance) with Thunderbolt (and Apple Display support), backlit keyboard, same RAM and SSD capacities was on sale for $549 - that was a better value than the Neo is. They should have just kept that and perhaps at some point updated it to an M2.
@scott @stroughtonsmith pretty sure there are already agents automating many different parts of app reviews today, and sharing results with human reviewers as a part of their decision making process.
@tylerhall can you just not choose any icons?
@thomholwerda @gruber yeah, very vague. Wonder if it's a health or family thing. Hope all ends up being well.
@marcoarment @gruber isn't this access journalism, pure and simple? Write what's perceived as a "hit piece" on the company you cover (something is rotten), and they just happen to decline an invitation for the first time in 10 years? Either that, or the black eye of Apple Intelligence still stings too much to put a rep in front of John.
@DonSqueak Less potential to make mistakes, less keystrokes to capitalize stuff that doesn't necessarily need to be capitalized. It still comes off as douchey to me, though. Live and let live, tho!
@DonSqueak @daringfireball @gruber not bothering with capitalization saves a lot of time! (he did capitalize an acronym tho, which is a good thing)
