@vanessagorelkin the past 7 years have been brutal to my optimism. The idea of vocalizing optimism in the chance I could jinx it gives me anxiety. My self preparedness for the possible crushing reality that could set in Tuesday simply won't allow my brain to think that way. But it's nice to hear him say it.

@mmasnick Twitter was no less difficult to understand the first time using it. Especially in the early days. I remember giving up on it many times at first.
