From the questions I've gotten about this, it seems there's a common misunderstanding around how .catch works:
Adding a catch handler to a promise doesn't un-reject the promise, it returns a new promise.
I think itโs important to repeat: you don't "have something to hide" when you put blinds on your windows or close the door when you're on the can or wear clothes.
Privacy isn't about having something to hide. It's not about keeping secrets. It's about you being the person who chooses what you reveal about yourself, and when, and to who, and the other word we have for that is "dignity". Your inherent dignity, as a human being.
Your privacy is the agency you have over your dignity.
#Twitter suspends #Mastodon account, prevents sharing links: Our statement
https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2022/12/twitter-suspends-mastodon-account-prevents-sharing-links/
On Dec 16, Twitter suspended our @joinmastodon account after we shared a link to the newly registered Mastodon account of @ElonJet, an account that broadcasts public flight path data of Elon Muskโs private jet, which was previously suspended from Twitter itself. At the same time, accounts of multiple journalists from major publications such as CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, as well as various independent journalists, were likewise suspended for either linking to the account itself or talking about the event.
It is so difficult to find a way to make team to be a team, not just a bunch of people working on the same thing.
Here only few of a lot of things I have learnt:
1. Learn a lot (daily)
2. Share a lot. Nothing is to be greedy about here.
3. Trust people and let them work on their own.
4. EVERYONE's opinion ALWAYS matter.
6. Write to team members sumetimes to ask how is it going. Simple "How are you?" can change someone's day drastically.
Day 2 at #mastodon
Have noticed, that modern web has formed a weird habbit for me.
I'm afraid to stop scrolling at some posts or hover some things, because some damn trackers may decide, that subject is interesting for me and will fill my feed with very weird suggestions.
So even here, I'm still trying to quickly scroll through some content if my eye recognizes certain key words.
