A tiny pair of jeans I made over 30 years ago. Waist 10 inches, length 9 inches. For perspective, the first two photos show them along with a pair of jeans in my size. Making them this small is actually harder than making a regular pair of jeans.

Giving students good guidance about artificial intelligence (AI) use is a huge challenge. My personal AI policy for 2026 is available at this link, plus an explanation of the rationale behind it. If you're struggling with AI in the classroom, maybe this will help.

BTW, this is authentic human writing.

@fluffgar @sewing I have used it ๐Ÿ˜Š most of my wardrobe is based on their patterns.

I think it's a great resource, but people who approach it with a "I just want to download some PDFs" are unlikely to realize its potential.

Then again, if you check my bio, you'll see I am very biased ๐Ÿ˜‡

I love this with all of my #editorial heart! ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿคฃ

McSweeney's Internet Tendency

Finished project! A "button-up" shirt (with metal pops instead of buttons).

I made the pattern by tracing from a shop-bought shirt I like, after SO many failed attempts at drafting from my measurements and the tests not fitting right.

The fabric is 100% cotton "typewriter poplin", which is super tightly woven and crispy. I just chose it because I love the colour, I do Not intend to ever iron any of my clothing so it will be rumpled forever.
