Okay I've officially started work on the Home Cloud mobile app. This is the first time in about 8 years that I've worked on a mobile app (native, not adaptive web sites).
Honestly it's kinda funny to me how little things have changed, at least on the surface. The tools seem broadly the same, the development flow is the same. Emulators seem to be just as bad lol. I do wish I had an ARM based laptop now...
About six months ago I quit my job to work on Home Cloud full-time. It wasn't a sudden decision, my friend Andrew and I had been running prototypes of what ended up being Home Cloud for years and we talked for months about the possibility of turning it into something for the public benefit before I made the jump.
Today I've published an article on our blog outlining what it is we're creating and why we're so passionate about it.

I'm currently working on deploying a Docker VM that runs Bsky, Peertube, and Pixelfed.
I've already got a setup for Mattermost(along with like 15 other services) for my friends and I plan to deploy these services as well.
