@geerlingguy Seems like a *little* over engineered to me, but IDK, I have no sense of what's actually practical. So what's your take on 'his?

Oh, and I follow your YT channel for quite a few years, I had no idea what you were going through, Chron & ostomy. I have even more appreciation for your dedication for sharing and teaching knowledge.

I wonder if a Cu or AL heatsink could be made to make contact with both ends of a module and the neighbor adapter such as all modules fit snugly in between the _fins_. Some thermal pads. I wonder if this would be a practical solution since that would require a high precision of the width of the metal fins and the two pads covering each fin and module / SOM adapter. Maybe with a giant fan on top would allow good cooling!?

@Mastodon @Mastodon Feature request - user verification, could be used to limit spam and disinfo accounts, those that spread misleading content deliberately to deceive people, or to secure economic or political gain and which may cause public harm. Competitor BlueSky created DNS user verification challenge. In my understanding, for them it works like Let's Encrypt DNS challenge (ACME protocol). https://bsky.social/about/blog/04-21-2025-verification

Drones with anti aircraft guns are awesome. Any anti-aircraft weapons really. Taking away Russia's capability to fly, drop KABs and daggers is key. Love from ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด. https://euromaidanpress.com/2025/02/21/as-russians-catch-up-with-naval-drone-tech-ukraine-is-developing-countermeasures/

The developed capabilities include machine gun-equipped patrol drones with 1700-kilometer range that can operate in rough seas.

@thelinuxcast 05:10 - Security - Just as vulnerable to Zero day exploits as everything else, it's just that it's not targeted as much as nobody uses it
06:12 - Rolling releases - You don't the newest stuff
07:06 - the AUR - builds stuff from source, you may get that from other sources OpenSuSE is just as good as AUR. (not sure if he means OpenSuse Build system)
07:50 - Firefox - is not a good browser - is slow, not enough features
09:40 - Suckless software - DWM, ST? Suckless means unusable 2/2
