In October, the university quietly introduced heat sensors under desk without notifying students or seeking their consent. Students removed the devices, hacked them, and were able to force the university to stop its surveillance.

The walls of Shibuya’s “transparent toilet” are supposed to turn opaque when someone’s using it. But…they…don’t always do that. Apparently, a dip in temperature can harden the wall’s material and elongate transition time, leaving some doing their business in full public view. #japan #unseenjapan #news
