Dear Dons, This is a very niche shoutout; My dearest friend is 60, and is obsessed with #linguistics in all its forms. Especially dialects and the history of #language. He’s just competed a degree in it, so probably well read. He’s a regular on Brain of Britain, so ready for a challenge.

Anyone know of a book on the subject that I could get him??
