A little over a decade after my first pub, I've received my 1000th Google Scholar citation today. I'm a believer in celebrating the career "wins" when you can because there are lots of times when rejection is the norm.

As a first-gen scholar, this is a milestone that seems a bit surreal. I'm incredibly grateful for the mentoring that I have received over the years.
