Since we’re shutting down #AllThingsTech, I’ll be find another home. I’m looking for one that's not large like Mastodon.social or anything similar, an instance that is run by a great admin and great moderators, has a post character limit of at least 1,500 characters and hopefully poll option limits of 8 - 10 or more.

If you know any instance that fits those requirements, please let me know. I'm open for suggestions from all of you as I'd love to find the best place to call home.

The announcement that @cliffwade and I made tonight with regards to #AllThingsTech shutting down in the coming weeks is something we had hoped would NEVER happen. But it’s something that unfortunately has to happen at this time.

Now the goal is to find myself a new home on the Fediverse and hope that everyone on our instance has no issues finding a new home as well.

Due to this, we realize users are going to need to find a new home on the Fediverse and we want to give you as much notice as possible. While it's not as long as we'd hope, the last day that the Mastodon instance will function is February 7th, 2025. On February 8th, 2025, the AllThingsTech.social Mastodon instance will officially close down. (continued...)
