@alex27 lua imo. Dead simple to write, very few language features, but all of them super powerful, and generally a great language for scripting. It also has great performance, depending on how you run it, it can be compiled, run with a jit compiler, or interpreted at runtime, so depending on how you use it, youโll get better performance, depending on your needs.
Interpretation at run time means you donโt have to wait around for builds so faster dev time.
2025 is going to be my year of gaming on #Linux. I can't afford to update my CPU just yet so I'll be out of windows 10 support.
The ability to transition to #OpenSuseTumbleweed with a baby is pretty slow, it's taken me three days to find the time to partition one SSD.
Long time no sing? Is that what people on mastadon do? If birds tweet, do whales sing?
In looking this up, turns out scientists are actually getting close to communicating with whales. Wild!
Anyways, mad couple of weeks, wife got the flu, daughter is teething hard, son is saying heโs moving out (heโs 3), but somehow Iโve managed to be pretty consistent!
Worked on my game almost every day for the last couple weeks, and have started learning Odin-lang on the side!
hey everyone in #gameDev & #techArt!
i'm struggling a bit with what i think is a simple #trigonometry problem in a 2D game.
anyone willing to help me out? it involves curving an arbitrary line at an arbitrary angle.
DM me!
boosts appreciated! โจ
Pretty anxious about putting my work out into the wild, but I've started publishing updates to my game to the BBS on Lexaloffle.
Its still very very early stages, no tangible gameplay in sight, but its been a lot of work to get it to where it is now with the limited time I have, and honestly I'm kind of proud of it!
