The Jewish prayer is so beautiful.
Every prayer rises through, with, and in Christ. — St. Edith Stein
Trying pop tarts for the first time. I'm still not sure why I should be impressed, when it's so very overly overloaded with sugar. But I cannot say that I don't enjoy it.
I blame it on Coyote, the guy in "Grace and Frankie", who was addicted to pop tarts. 🤭
On her birthday, Teresa teaches: imitate the virtue others lack. Let love spread! #HappyBirthday #StTeresaOfAvila
Such is the kind of sacrifice I have to make. To put aside my own work, reading, and study, so that the other person is well fed.
How have I missed immersing myself in the saints' writings and in writing my own reflections.
Father Miguel Márquez, OCD, reflects on Elijah’s journey in 1 Kings 17-19, exploring how his experiences of zeal, humility, and surrender can help us grow deeper in our relationship with God.
We would be greatful if you could amplify our voice & let your followers know that the Auschwitz Memorial is present in #fediverse: @auschwitzmuseum
Every day we commemorate the victims & educate about the tragic human history of #Auschwitz.

It is also a place where we should reflect on our individual and collective responsibility for the world we live in.
"Even in the midst of difficulties and uncertainties, every person sincerely open to truth and goodness can, by the light of reason and the hidden action of grace, come to recognize in the natural law written in the heart (cf. Rom 2:14-15) the sacred value of human life from its very beginning until its end, and can affirm the right of every human being to have this primary good respected to the highest degree."
- John Paul II, Evangelium Vitae #2
Facebook reminded me of this Disney song I posted 4 years ago.
When I first heard this song in Swam Princess as a child, I immediately thought of Jesus. I changed 'Derek' to 'Jesus' whenever I sang it... Ever since then, it's our 'theme song', of me and my pursuit of God.
Or perhaps, it would be more apt to say that it's God pursuing me!
Up till this day, it has not changed; the deepest recesses of my heart still long for her Beloved Prince.
