I am someone who is learning who they are after a lifetime of hiding. I have never been my true self due to the way I was raised. I learned narcissistic tricks from the people I loved growing up and have used them on others, which I am so ashamed of. Why do places have to require you giving up your entire life to work for them. Especially when they know you have other commitments. I just had to step down from a job that wanted to require me to work 7 days a week, the hours that they choose, wanted me to start immediately, and wasn't going to pay me more money. I was already taking a hit to my pay because I hoped it would lead to something better. Well, fuck that! #takingadvantage

So many times I see someone boosted into my timeline saying some variation of "Hey! looking for my people. I'm interested in XYZ. Seems kinda quiet around here." And I look at their profile and they're following less than 100 people. Honestly, I think it's one of the biggest drivers for people leaving this platform, not getting over the hurdle that you have to follow A LOT of people. There's no algorithm filling in the blanks.
