@Sonnenbarke
Possibly a foxglove tree (in the USA) - Paulownia tomentosa?
I checked it with the PlantNet app (which usually gets me pretty close.)

You might read this article in the Farmer's Almanac. Depending on if you are growing softneck or hardneck varieties, the harvest timing and plant appearance may be different.

I've been running Follow the Crypto since 2024. Today I'm relaunching it as Tech Influence Watch, expanded to cover AI political spending alongside crypto. They’ve spent more than $400 million this election cycle, and now you can follow it in close to real time.

The most common possibility here is leaf scorch, a symptom of either over or under watering. Leaf edges turning yellow and crispy are one symptom of a plant that is unable to uptake water.
If the soil is still wet, let the first 2-3 inches dry out a bit before watering again. Roots need oxygen around them (micro pockets in the soil) to uptake water and nutrients, and can't do that in saturated soil.
Find of the day coming up in a potted plant. Ive repotted it.

@fergycool I am in the US, but for cultural (by hand) control.
When practical. Prune out and destroy nests (in May), remove pupating clusters. Pick off or prune out egg masses on the bark in the fall.
Larvae feed on developing leaves then move into the foliage and feed as tent caterpillars. Adults emerge from late June onward. Females lay eggs into the fall. Egg masses are found in the bark, are ~1⁄2″ across. Eggs are yellow but age -> red ->gray.
Other treatments likely depend on location.
