Tomato plant leaves have brown tips - transplant shock or something else?

The most common possibility here is leaf scorch, a symptom of either over or under watering. Leaf edges turning yellow and crispy are one symptom of a plant that is unable to uptake water.

If the soil is still wet, let the first 2-3 inches dry out a bit before watering again. Roots need oxygen around them (micro pockets in the soil) to uptake water and nutrients, and can't do that in saturated soil.
