Dan Golding on Instagram: "The world premiere of Untitled Concerto for Orchestra and Honk with @orchestravictoria was an unbelievable, life-changing experience last week. It was a dream come true to make my debut as a soloist with the orchestra (on such a venerated instrument), and to hear my work performed to an audience in their thousands for the first time. I have so many thanks – to Orchestra Victoria and the brilliant @misse for dreaming up this unfathomably great event and enthusiastically embracing this very silly idea. There’s really no orchestra in the world like OV. To the musicians of OV, those who embraced the behind-the-scenes Honk video, and in particular @laurencematheson who not only gave a standout performance on piano on the night (his third, I think, for the world of Untitled Goose Game), but who went truly above and beyond by loaning me his tails for the performance. Thank you Laurence, that really made the whole night. To the brilliant conductor @vanessa_maestra who not only got the joke immediately but who totally embraced it and made it even better (and to @andrewjpogson for his choreography). To the great @jessgwells and @matthewchinmusic whose sweat and tears on the arrangement gave the whole thing life and ensured it was all actually playable by humans! To all at House House who made Untitled Goose Game and who continue to let me play in its musical world. And finally, to those who I was lucky enough to share a stage with for Indie Symphony: @actualmontaigne, @a.wintory, @rgonzy, Justine Anderson, and the host with the most, @musophrenic. And to my amazing friends and family who came along on the night and supported the hell out of me, thank you, you are the absolute best. Without a doubt this was the silliest thing I have ever done.
