Cory Doctorow's book #Enshittification. It has been a good read so far. The mini case studies add more background to what I already knew about the toxic sludge of large tech companies. I'm excited to find out what Doctorow prescribes as a potential fix for this disease.

These birch trees squeaked when I walked by as if they wanted me to take their picture. I didn't think much of it at the time, but the photo turned out nicely.

This is for those who don't have the pleasure of an autumn day in a vast Ontario forest.

It helps if you imagine yourself here enjoying a hot cup of coffee or tea all bundled up.

Your nose is chilly. You smell the drying leaves and a little bit of earthy moisture from the leaf littered ground.

All you can hear is the sounds of the wind blowing the leaves, sometimes a couple of light footsteps made by a small animal.

It's quiet, you can hear your own thoughts easier.
