@mattiem @nicklockwood @helge @obrhoff at this point those of us with the technical and financial wherewithal should look at smaller alternatives like fair phone or jolla phone, try to avoid Qualcomm based phones and choose mediatek instead. There are small sacrifices in usability and ecosystem but at this point, where the US appears headed, and Apple right along with them, why give any money to them?

@dlakelan @nemo @Samaelius I personally, would rather slightly compromise security with e/OS and fair phone rather than giving google more money. Or install Graphene on a device you already have if you can. Right now my personal goal is to give no money to US big tech unless there is really no other source.

@stroughtonsmith Liquid glass general design is, and always was, dumb. It was never properly conceived of as a UI for apps that aren't just photo viewers. If you actually need to use an app as a tool then liquid glass starts falling on its face almost immediately.
