@dmnelson @stefan Using wildcards means that you only have one certificate for all your machines. This leads to compromised connections for all of your hosts if the certificate of only one host is compromised. The only solution not using wildcards and not exposing your internal network structure I know of is building your own ca somehow in this way: https://smallstep.com/blog/build-a-tiny-ca-with-raspberry-pi-yubikey/ . I would use something other than yubikey though because their firmware is not open source.

The variety of apps for Mastodon is as amazing as it is overwhelming. The bare-bones ‚original’ #Mastodon for iOS, the neglected #MetatextApp, #Amaroq, my current favourite #IceCubesApp … and I haven‘t even tried #Ivory, #Mammoth, and #Mastoot yet. 😅 Which client do you use?
