Never realized how out of touch I am with Pop culture until I had to start looking up the new celebrities joining Mastodon.

Tiny Privacy Recommendation 🔒:

When on a public social platform or a group chat, if you know someone from a different place, remember not to share more about them on that platform than what they have already shared there. Unless you have prior Consent from that person.

Privacy has modularity.

What someone has shared somewhere else, or privately, they might not wish to share on that new place.

Privacy works hand in hand with Consent.

And Consent can differ from one context to another.

I don't usually share things from twitter but this amazing thing from @[email protected] about #ADHD and #art is a fantastic reminder for all of us neurodivergent folks in creative fields that we often work best when we work differently.

Listening to Frances The Mute (2005) for a 3rd time this month.

Not just because it's a good album, but because I'm trying to figure out what the story in the album is about.

I recently watched the American remake of 'Ringu' (1998), the more popular 'The Ring' (2002).

While there were several differences between the two, I think the biggest was 'The Ring' did not give me a sense of urgency compared to 'Ringu'.

'Ringu' had a lot more dread and the climax felt more tense and urgent compared to 'The Ring'.

Hi, just showing off how strong my wheelchair and I are. 😜

I wonder if in 50 years we'll see a similar film where a kid is editing footage off their smartphone and the app keeps crashing.

Watched 'The Fablemens' (2022) #film
It's basically another director's autobiographical film set during their childhood.

It's not a bad thing. I am just amused by how many of these have been made lately. 'Roma' (2018), 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' (2019), 'Licorice Pizza' (2021) just to name a few

I've been on mastodon.social since 2018, back when the fediverse was smaller. I think at this point I should migrate to a smaller instance after reading that thread from .art .

Currently debating on whether I should join a general instance or a more specialized one.

I am mostly interested in arts (#film #writing #music) but also I've been into #tech and #gamedev despite not doing much of it lately. Any suggestions?
