@gytisrepecka not really. I just have it connected to my RCA switch. I have a couple CRT tvs I'm eyeballing on eBay that I'd like to maybe get. I have a digital upscale device for my Wii but while it does some improvement, its not really that much change IMO.
@repeatro wow. The things we take for granted sometimes. I assumed everyone went to arcades growing up. Well that sucks lol.
@gytisrepecka @nazokiyoubinbou yeah there wasn't much for it which made it not really worth it, especially today's prices. But it is still fun to look at fully assembled 🤣.
@gytisrepecka I love that Frankenstein console! Mine sits proudly fully assembled & functional in front of the tv in my retro room.

Originally an arcade game, the side scrolling beat 'em Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time was ported to the SNES in 1992. 🐢

The SNES version of Turtles in Time is not a direct port of the arcade original. While missing some animations and graphics effects from the arcade version, it made extensive use of the SNES' Mode 7 forward scrolling effect. It also featured the option to give unique...

I should probably start posting random retro game cartridges off my shelf's again.
@repeatro I remember as a little kid maybe 3yrs old, my dad used to take me to one of the last 80s style arcades (still running today but more modern games now  ) and the arcade version of TMNT was my go-to. I ran straight for it each time & burned dozens of quarters. I still have my SNES cartridge but I always felt it was missing something. Now I wanna play the arcade version again.

Is there anything Microsoft is not doing these days?

LinkedIn Is Illegally Searching Your Computer

Microsoft is running one of the largest corporate espionage operations in modern history. Every time any of LinkedIn’s one billion users visits linkedin.com, hidden code searches their computer for installed software, collects the results, and transmits them to LinkedIn’s servers and to third-party companies including an American-Israeli cybersecurity firm. The user is never asked. Never told. LinkedIn’s privacy policy does not mention it. Because LinkedIn knows each user’s real name, employer, and job title, it is not searching anonymous visitors. It is searching identified people at identified companies. Millions of companies. Every day. All over the world.

BrowserGate

The playbook's the same:

Industry harms people → regulators don't touch industry → individuals get surveilled instead

Kids exposed to addictive products? Scan everyone's face. Kids on social media? Scan everyone's face. Zero accountability for companies. Maximum surveillance for everyone else.

@jaykass in some countries that's like how they administer fines for breaking the law. So the pain is felt the same regardless how much or little money you have.
