...I faced heavily overpowered enemies. That way I found out that you have to apply jobs and abilities to your party and that there is even a comprehensive ingame encyclopedia explaining everything. Nobody tells you that during a tutorial or so. 😅

Also glad that I chose to play the enhanced version offering the controls and features I'm used to from Triangle Strategy. The undo function I feared actually doesn't apply to whole turns but only to the movement phase, same like in Triangle Strategy.

I'm a couple of hours now into Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles on Switch 2 and it brings me the same addicting gameplay like Triangle Strategy. ⚔️

They share the same mechanics and rules on the battlefield. Didn't know that, but Triangle Strategy seems heavily influenced by the Final Fantasy Tactics original from 1997. Final Fantasy Tactics even seems to offer more complexity in the field of strategies and tweaks. 🔀

I was totally blindsided by an early game battle where...

Civilization II was first released in 1996 for the PC and ported to the PS1 in 1999. 💿

The game is mostly similar to the first Civilization while the graphics have been changed from top-down to isometric view. 🗺️

As in the original, there are two victory types: Conquer every other civilization or build a spaceship and reach Alpha Centauri. The latter is much more difficult because there are a limited number of turns in the game, ending in the year 2020. 🚀
