Good morning, Fediverse Folk. My work week is starting today, so I am taking some time to remind myself of some facts. I like to share these reminders because I believe we receive too many messages to the contrary. So, here they are.

Your value is independent of your work status and performance.
Your identity transcends what you do to sustain yourself financially.
Rest is a right, not a reward.
All we have is each other, so we’re better off treating each other with love and care.

“That guy sounds boring” - Mr. 11 when I was listening to Sinatra today.

Just feel like folks are playing a game and they have the rule book and I don’t. At work, at home. Just want to feel comfortable for more than the times when I am alone.

Shout out to Asal, the neighborhood indoor/outdoor cat. She was briefly indoors in our house because I was not vigilant when petting her through the slightly open sliding door.
