Canadian lady writing about life, the end of life, possibly the afterlife... lots of life thoughts.

Taking a social media break for a bit.

Maybe till after U.S. elections.

The sharpest image ever taken of Venus.

From the Japanese spacecraft Akatsuki.

The dark side shines in the infrared, which is how this photo was taken.

It's real!

Stalled on LRT, westbound near Lyon.

Sigh. Again.

For the last time:

Abyss = for staring into
Void = for screaming into

Please stop screaming into the abyss we are not insured for that

@jeffcliff I've been thinking about Can-con requirements. It's actually incredible how relatively little it costs to majorly change people's demand wrt music consumption.

Markets seem to be a bad model for music consumption. People seem to consume and enjoy what they're familiar with.

I wonder what would happen if we had some kind of "diversity" requirements. If there was some requirement to expose folks to a diverse array of music on radio, etc.

Days are up and down. It isn't all doom and gloom. More thoughts on that to come too.

My user name comes from an old Hank Williams song:

Hear that lonesome whippoorwill
He sounds too blue to fly
The midnight train is whining low
I'm so lonesome, I could cry

That might sound a tad depressing, but if you've ever enjoyed feeling blue to a sad song, you know that there's a kindred soul feeling it too, and there's a communion there. So not so lonesome in the end, perhaps.

My bio will be short and sweet... I'm just over 50 years old, living in Ontario, and facing a battle with stage 4 #BreastCancer.

I'm here to vent, anonymously. It will probably help to spread awareness too, I hope.

Hobbies, well, I have many. Music (#jazz, vintage rock, and classical in particular). Old movies and #bmovies. Non-fiction, especially #TravelLiterature and pulpy autobiographies.
