Mozilla CEO made around 7 million USD last year, but hosting bills are pending. Now, they updated the ToS, and you can't watch p0rn, or your data will be sold, or they no longer care about the orignal mission, etc. Once again, we see C-suits lose their grip on reality. As long as they are getting paid in millions, software projects can go to /dev/null. It is like they want to ruin the project on purpose. There is no other explanation I can think of. Can you?
General rule of thumb: Every time an organization updates their terms of service and/or privacy policy, it is never because they have your best interests at heart.
Specific thoughts on this latest Mozilla action (https://blog.mozilla.org/en/products/firefox/firefox-news/firefox-terms-of-use/)
Setting aside the "worldwide license" bullshit, the privacy policy appears to have broadened both the classes of data Mozilla aims to collect, and the situations in which they collect them.
These are not the actions of an org that cares about your privacy.
Sad to see that @[email protected] needs to layoff 30%😢
Is Google’s ban on paying Mozilla for including G Search in Firefox the reason?
All #privacy companies must unite against Big Tech now! 💪

Apple added a feature called "inactivity reboot" in iOS 18.1. This is implemented in keybagd and the AppleSEPKeyStore kernel extension. It seems to have nothing to do with phone/wireless network state. Keystore is used when unlocking the device. So if you don't unlock your iPhone for a while... it will reboot!

Law enforcement believe the activity, which makes it harder to then unlock the phones, may be due to a potential update in iOS 18 which tells nearby iPhones to reboot if they have not been in contact with a cellular network for some time, according to a document obtained by 404 Media.

Especially ironic considering that the entire point of Democrats is diversity and equality. That people can have their own opinions and express them freely without any oppression.
Seeing all discussion around US elections is what told me that Trump's gonna win.
And discussion seems to get worse now that it happened.
I like this screenshot. It shows an obvious flaw.
I'm not a psychologist but what I see here is a basic denial. She got the opinion that she didn't like and instead of ignoring it or saying something like "I don't agree but that's OK" she told them to "fuck off" (yes, I saw original reply and response to it was... pretty rude) then blocked them and made an entire post about it.
She doesn't like something so she violently denies it. And that's what antagonizes people against her.
