I have finally met someone else who has severe #tourettes who I am not related to!

I stay with them at the new care facility I have found myself at, and have a new best friend!

It only took until I was 31, which isn't surprising as Tourettes in Adults is very rare in any form, about 1 in 9000 people. Then severe cases are more like 1 in 50,000 people.

We were laughing earlier as we kept setting one another off, and had the same life story.

Nice to have solidarity.

1/ I saw the name Hopere Yvholv* spelled in Mvskoke for the first time today (I'd only ever seen the english spelling) and, without thought or struggle, I pronounced it correctly out loud. It just came out of my mouth as if I'd always known how to say it. I knew exactly how to say it because my brain read it in Mvskoke instead of in english.

It's such a small thing but as the granddaughter of a man fluent in Mvskoke who never spoke it in front of us
