'Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite & Beyond' (Fanmod) launches December 20th!
This is something i try not to take out on other people, but it’s becoming a bit of an exotic pet peeve when folks give SF6 credit for being the first game to do easy inputs.
Earliest non smash game i can think of doing that is MvC. COTA mightve also had those options also. I cant fully get mad at someone for not knowing these things, but also pretty much every fighting game during the ps3/360/wii generation had some form of easy input or auto combo options
There are two things that contribute to how annoyed (SF6 invented fighting game accessibilit) makes me.
1 is that it denies a long history of accessibilitt options in fighting games. Accessibility was a part of fighting games that maybe hasnt been as developed becuase they usually were seen as substandard, and the folks that it was made for probably were turned off from the genre by then.
The 2nd thing and probably the worst part is that it reinforces how much of the American FGC is Capcom dominated. I would like fgc and capcom to be less intertwined, becuz when the next street fighter is one of the bad ones, we can still enjoy games without the community being tied to one company
