It's very possible to just knock someone down and force them to guess crossup, empty low etc. into super slam.
There's also a lack of true reversals (many moves have invincibility for 3-5 frames, but it ends before any active frame), so it's pretty difficult to do anything but guess. It's extreme, and that's either for you or it's not.
Played Ring of Destruction today, what an awesome game. I don't know why Capcom can't re-release this; the usual reason is "Tetsuo Hara was the character artist, so they'd need to license them from him", but he also did illustrations for Saturday Night Slam Masters, so what gives?
Anyway, I'm going to try and whip up a primer for it tomorrow, since it's our next game on Back to The Lab. Really interesting 5-button layout with Grab, Light and Heavy Punch, and Light and Heavy Kick. You can chain and even dash-cancel normals, and combo into throws. It's so fast.
