Figured out how to apply any arbitrary SF Symbol to a folder in Tahoe.

xattr -w 'com.apple.icon.folder#S' '{"sym":"camera.viewfinder"}' some/folder/here

It also works with private symbol names!

The fallacy of engaging with people who constantly repeat the same staunchly held contrarian beliefs online is thinking that engagement could result in any kind of insight for anybody involved. In reality it’s usually just bait for more staunchly held contrarian beliefs.
I’ve seen it so many times and still have urge to engage.

@Ullilust I like that it's harder to get misinformation on mastodon than algorithm-based social media. If someone is spreading misinformation people can just unfollow them.

@Ullilust After the flies move on, out of the farm, they find a baby by a lake (third picture). The text says that there's no algorithm. Next picture (underneath) shows people listening to a plant, and then (forth page) walking in a long trail through the desert. Beautifully drawn by the way.
