Key point: the relay never knows your private key that signs your activities. It provides your stable identity (@user@domain), but you remain fully autonomous. Your data stays on your phone, you keep control. If the relay goes down or blocks you, you can migrate with your identity and followers to a new relay.

There was an accidental social experiment where some chimpanzees fought over spoiled food. The nastiest males won out, ate the food, and died. That chimp tribe became quite a bit nicer after that.

In possibly related news, all the Big Tech firms are going to spend essentially all their capital fighting over AI. Is it possible that AI is just poisonous and kills off Big Tech? The Internet would be a nicer place.

Is there any gadgetry (Bluetooth speakers, ATX computer cases, maybe novelty clocks or calculators or something) that you would genuinely buy (assuming it was reletively cheap and decently made) if it was made of wood?
