The Plant Based Treaty is a landmark international treaty and first of its kind to put food systems at the heart of combating the climate crisis. The Treaty aims to halt the widespread degradation of critical ecosystems caused by animal agriculture.
Today*, I watched the biopic of Temple Grandin - the American academic and animal behavourist. As a vegan I am not an animal welfarist. I support the complete abolishment of the exploitation of animals.
It was an interesting insight into her life - the difficulties she faced as a neuro-divergent woman fighting for animal welfare in an extremely masculine "industry".
Her genius is extraordinary. I admire and commend her dedication to making life better for animals. But I wish she was on our side fully.
