I'm into #permaculture, #homesteading, and teaching #resilient and #sustainableliving skills to adults and kids. I have a new #book coming out this year.

I also take people out on #guidedwalks and #adventuretrails in #WesternAustralia

#trail testing this week. I went into our #nationalpark for another test run of a 10km guided #hike I'll be delivering on a regular basis.

These ancient spaces feel like another world. Nothing but insects humming and birds singing. Early morning #summer walking at its best.

@gardenlove this is what I love about it! So much to do and learn and share. My latest is apple cider vinegar and ginger bugs.

So in the lead up to the #election in #Australia #meta is now suppressing all non mainstream political pages, including legally registered parties. The main legalise page with over 225k is being blocked.

If you exist in Meta, look for this page, please stick it them by liking sharing and commenting. Regardless of if you are voting for them, it's totally ridiculous that they can't even be heard. It just ain't cricket!

This is my #mindful moment of the day. Was lucky enough to spend a couple of hours at the beach this morning, albeit overcast. This is the path through the dunes to a magnificent, calm and crystal clear swimming beach.
This is my last day #teaching at Albany Summer School. Today's topic #preserving
@gardenlove #welcome I'm new here too and love all things #gardening what's your favourite thing to grow?
@lily you are amazing thank you x
@lily I'd love to. Newb here I have no idea how to access it since I'm on mastodon.social and it doesn't let me login? HELP
@Joseph sounds like your climate may be similar to mine. I'm cool temperate. No frost. Little rain in summer (drought last year). I started with tassie blue gum, acacia, as many stone fruit seeds as I could get me hands on as well as cuttings or slips of things like elder, mulberry, fig, wormwood, comfrey, Jerusalem artichoke, lemon balm, and vetiver to name a few.
Have you joined any groups on the dreaded meta? There's some decent advise and conversation going in the temperate group.
I'm teaching at the Albany Summer School at the moment and have the opportunity to got to come local beaches and do one of my favourite things #opshop
I managed to score a handful of books on #Australian #gardening and #aquaponics as well as natives and bulbs. All for under 8 dollars.
More and more I #optout and spend less in this #capitalist machine. Physical books (not digital) are an item that will never go to waste in my house.
@Joseph I'm into #syntropicagroforestry and currently working with a system that includes two 15 month old rows and three other rows which I've had to reset due to drought. I'm in a #temperate (Mediterranean) climate in Australia. How about you?
