It can feel like we all are navigating white water in a tiny little kayak and somebody on the shore wants to know where we plan to place our paddle for each of next 100 strokes. I'm going to place my paddle here in this spot I can reach & then, if my little craft is still upright, well we will see.

I have no words. My beautiful student, River, has had a devastating car accident. They are a nonbinary, disabled young person fighting their way through poverty to finish college, and they have been my student worker and dear friend for three years. @actualham @kate @leaton01 the mark, the crease in paper, the trace … what a beautiful piece. We were talking about this idea of a human trace in class today as we were imagining the little paper zines we might make, imagining the circumstances of both intentional and more accidental/random distribution that might get them from our human making into other human hands 💜
