11/05/2026 - I went after work to one of my favourite farm tracks to look for yellow pimpernel. No flowers yet but I found their leaves so soon hopefully. The track did have plenty of other lovely wild flowers though, lots of whites and yellows amongst the greens of the grasses.

The long incubation is over and yesterday the proud parent swans led their brood out on to the pond. There are eight cygnets, one more than last year. Six made it to adulthood. Fingers crossed for a good outcome this year too!
