22/01/2026 - My evening walk was windy! At least it didn't rain. I'm fed up with the weather at the moment and the forecast doesn't look too good for the weekend. Still I had chips on the way home and that cheered me up. I like chips.
21/01/2026 - I had my evening walk at lunchtime today as the rain is coming later.
20/01/2026 - Walking the quiet roads at night. Mild but the wind was picking up. We were taking the long way back from the chippy.
16/01/2026 - Evening walk to the shop. I didn't walk for too long, about an hour but it was still nice to move a bit after work. Just me this weekend so I couldn't think what to have for tea. I went with a potato waffle and brown sauce butty.
15/01/2026 - Just me this evening. Mrs Spaceways is away for a few days. No moon so seemed quite dark tonight. Still didn't need the torch as light pollution lit the quiet roads enough to see where I was going. Each year more and more people seem to feel the need to light up the outside of their houses round here, seems pointless to me. I just don't understand folk. I'd prefer to see the Milky Way instead of houses when I'm out for a walk but that's just me.

Evening walk into the night. It was quiet out and about as dark as it gets round here. Roads were a bit icy to walk on. The stars were pretty magic tonight.
12/01/2026 - Nothing but the edges left
Evening walk after work. Mild for January. Hard to believe how much snow has melted overnight and today. Everywhere was back to looking a grubby green colour. Just snow left in the field edges and where it had been ploughed up to clear the road. We went the long way round so late getting back home. I couldn't much be bothered cooking tea so just had crumpets with golden syrup, bit lazy of me but yum.
