Do you ever have panic attacks as a working-parenting-adult when you scroll through your wishlist on the game-stores? And why is it always after adding 15 more super promising strategy/builders/open worlds?
Trying this "#Gunpla" thing.
It’s… fun? But it’s gonna take FOREVER 😂
I am so burned out from the blue check madness of the last days. I am back here (again) to try to rebuild something valuable and good. A community. A safe space. I will dearly miss the shitposting though.
People ask why I haven't fully quit Twitter yet, and the answer is 'for days like today'. Elon's mismanagement of Twitter is basically watching an extremely slow $44 Billion dollar train crash.

I'm currently building a "Art Direction Beginner's Kit" presentation.
It is aimed at new #artdirectors but also #gamedevs that are building a game and would like some help in organising this fairly big task!

** What would be your most pressing questions you'd like answered in this talk? **

Please boost for better reach and help :)

By trying to not toot stuff outside of the gamedev topics, I have a growing anxiety and am afraid to have a LinkedIn like discourse.
I don’t want LinkedIn discourse here.
I want new connections, ideas for midjourney prompts, silly Christmas nerdy stuff, pics of random shit and tips about how to be a good gamedev parent.
Yeah

And you?

Since Mastodon saw its initial popularity circa 2017, I've noticed that most users and those reporting on it either don't think about the Fediverse as anything more than Mastodon, or treat its history as beginning with Eugen Rochko and the beginning of Mastodon. In fact, Mastodon is the latest in a long line of federated social networks going at least back to Identi.ca, and though I wasn't around for all of it, I find this history pretty interesting. (Thread; boosts welcome!)

While following a lot of people can populate your Home feed significantly, sometimes people (like me) end up boosting a lot and that can unexpectedly hinder your own experience.

So if you like someone's specific posts and don't want to follow their boosts, you can go to their profile under the [...] button, and select the "Hide boosts from account" button.

There is no algorithm on Mastodon. You have ownership and control over every filtering decision instead of some robot.
