What I like the most about the #EndOf10 campaign is that it DEBUNKS the corporate bullshit from #Microsoft that #Windows users MUST upgrade to Windows 11 or else it's game over for them.

This is not just about #FreeSoftware vs proprietary software, but about a destructive ideology that implies producing megatons of e-waste is a good idea.

Meanwhile, the FOSS community is LAUGHING at Microsoft's face while installing libre OSes on 19-year old computers.

#Windows10 reaches EOL today. Microsoft's message is clear: buy new hardware or pay.

For millions of users worldwide, perfectly functional computers will suddenly become "obsolete" - not because they can't run an operating system, but because #Microsoft says so. This isn't just about one OS reaching EOL. It's about a business model that treats your hardware as disposable e-waste and your security as a subscription service.

Is *anyone* out there using FOSS for accounting?

I'm struggling with Quickbooks desktop (which you can only get as a subscription now, unless you pay four figures for an enterprise license).

#Xero comes highly recommended to me, but I'm loathe to go "#cloud" for accounting. Very loathe indeed.
