I miss having #WynonnaEarp on TV. Never been a part of a show like that where there was such a fever-pitch level of excitement and anticipation that would last through each day until the next episode aired. It was/is perfection. I've tried other shows but every single damn time I find one I even halfway like... it gets cancelled and I'm so sick of fighting to see lasting representation 😞 In conclusion: I want our shitshow back

Thanks to the detective work of delmacgirl on twitter, I found out the other day that my insanely long Wynonna Earp FF 'Lone Wolf' is the No1 completed work in the fandom. If you've noticed your Home timeline here is pretty quiet it's because at the other place you were constantly hit with 'here's a tweet someone you follow has Liked', or 'here's another from someone you don't follow but someone you follow follows them!', or just general spam. So your timeline was constantly full of things you really didn't want to see and hardly any content you actually cared about.

In this place you only see posts from those you follow, so remember to boost the good stuff!

How my brain works (or doesn't). 5 mins after waking up, my brain had gone from 'why does my geolocation-based mobile game put me off the coast of Africa?' to 'maybe ghosts are just beings that are not carbon-based. So, when we see them, it is just pollution whittling away at what separates us or something' 🤔 😩

Managed to kick the edge of my bed avoiding a chicken (don't ask). Peeled my nail most of the way off and can confirm with 100% certainty that, as painful as it was, words hurt more

Really need to finish editing Sinn book 2 but I am finding it really hard to get in the mood for writing. My imagination, she works overtime until I put my fingers on the keyboard and then it's "Buh bye!" and I can't string 2 words together. 😞

Mastodon will update to 4.0 soon! Here are the most exciting new features (in addition to fixes & changes):

- ability to follow hashtags
- ability to filter by language
- ability to translate posts
- ability to post HEIC files (i.e. your iPhone’s native photo format)
- define user roles (big deal for admins)
- define sign-up process on your Instance (admins again)

Tip for the new folk:
Often Mastodon’s features work the way they do because it was first populated by people who had been harassed on FB and the Birdsite.

For instance (not sorry), you cannot search Masto for a simple term. Only #hashtags. Say you’re having a private conversation about iguanas. Anti-iguana trolls will not be able to search for “iguanas”, find your conversation, and drop into it to say, “Iguana luvers suck!”

But if you are wanting to connect with new iguana fanciers on Mastodon, slipping an #iguanas hashtag somewhere into your posts will allow people to search for and find them.
